  • Come out and show your support for local artists in Maryville's Downtown Art Walk on Friday, January 25 from 5:30-8:30. See the blurb in the Blount Today! While you're out, check out our next in-store featured artist Stacey Austin of Luna Arts Paintings
  • Coming April 17-19 and 24-26, there will be a performance of Harold Pinter's play Betrayal at Southland and Detour Coffee.

  • Thanks for helping make art-mart a huge success! Our next local artist market is already being planned for this spring. Interested in participating in Art Mart? Contact Catherine at 379-4453. As always, there is no cost for local vendors to participate.

  • Former Blount County teacher Sam Williams recently published a book of Christmas poems entitled By This Christmas Moon--On Sale Now at Southland Books!

  • Come in and check out locally made pottery by Jill Brite, hand-blown glass by Amber Carman, ceramics by Studio 212, and jewelry and glass from Betham Art Glass Studio. Support local artists--prices start at $2.50

  • We have moved! We're now at 801 E. Broadway in the old Drake's Auto Parts building. Come by and check out the Southland mini-empire of Southland Books, Detour Coffee, Southern Studios Stained Glass, and '27/'37 Publishing.

  • Support '27/'37 Publishing and the environment by dropping off used computer ink or toner cartridges to recycle. Or, if you're feeling particularly generous, you can drop off reams of paper for us!

  • Old computer, monitor, printer, cell phone? Be green and drop it off for us to recycle through our buddies at Technology Solutions of Tennessee.
