Independently owned businesses are an important part of a community's character. IndependentMaryville's purpose is to create a cooperative community of locally owned businesses.
What's the Deal?
I run this website as a part-time endeavor. I have worked for Maryville-owned businesses for the past 10 years (Mister Video and Southland Books). These days, I'm a 7th grade English teacher and I work on this project in my free time. Our address has been posted in several issues of Blount Today and it is spread widely via word of mouth through the businesses we feature. You can't beat free PR.
Below is a list of services I offer through independentMARYVILLE.com. The suggested packages are the Free Link (FREE) and the Info Page ($40). I will create a link to your website and post it online for free. It takes minimal time to create, and will be posted within a few days. The Info Page can also be completed in about a week or less.

Why?
This is my way to do something about the decline of small business. I can bemoan the dominance of multi-acre retail complexes all day, but where would that get me? This is my way to give back. How long will the $40 last, you may ask? For 40 bucks, your page will be posted for as long as I run independentmaryville!
