look out for some of the following items. If you can help with any of
these, you will be appropriately cited for your contribution. Thanks!
- In
preparation for our next publication, we are looking for any and all
pictures of Will A. McTeer (author of Loyal
Mountain Troopers and The
History of New Providence Presbyterian Church). Please contact
us if you have any information or leads on where to find pictures of
McTeer.
- Contribute
to Outside in Blount County.
We are compiling a book of outdoor activities in Blount County for sale
as a fund raiser for some much needed equipment upgrades for '27/'37.
If you have a favorite hiking trail, walking trail, biking route (on-
or off-road), or water trail for canoe/kayak, submit it to us for
consideration for inclusion in the book. You may make submissions by
emailing 2737@independentmaryville.com,
being sure to include your name and contact info, the location of the
trail, the type of activity, and how to get there.

history and primary sources from before 1920
- Diaries, journals,
recollections detailing life in the area before 1950
- County or state
archive material
- Genealogical resources
